In todays age of 'plastic' music; where elements of most bands are synthetic; it is unique to find a band that plays their music 100% 'live'.
The Silver Creek Mountain Band have been doing it for thirty years!
Formed in East London in the early 70's, the band has entertained thousands in pubs, clubs, parties, weddings, rallies and self-run clubs.
The music is performed 'acoustically'; obviously amplified, but with as few additives as possible. The selection of music is varied and eclectic, some music becoming synonymous with the band over the years.
On any given performance, one can expect to hear a mixture of traditional and contemporary folk songs, blues, bluegrass, folk and self-penned songs.
The band kicks off at 9pm and tickets available at the door at R20 p/p

WIMVORSTER ET AL ‘KUIFMAN’ is a brand new theatre experience created especially for the Pink Loerie MardiGras. Written by and starring Wim Vorster, it is a coming out story with a difference: taking the bull by the horn(s) plus poking fun at aging. The phenomenon of hair (or lack thereof) becomes metaphor for life itself , but although there are some serious undertones, this is high camp comedy with a butch bark! Be the first to see ‘KUIFMAN’.
