Herewith a request for a donation of as little as R5.00 per month to Sedge Mobile Meals.

Why R5.00 do you ask? We are currently just over 8 000 permanent residents residing in Sedgefield. If half of the permanent residents donate an amount of R5.00 per month then Sedge Mobile Meals will be able to cover their costs on a monthly basis. We currently serve around about 1 800 meals per month. In the past week, we added 16 extra plates of food per serving.

The meals that we are currently serving consists of a protein 110-125g (meat or fish), starch 75-100g, and two veg ± 80g each, with a small dessert. The meals are served to the elderly, those suffering from ill-health, the frail, disabled and those without an income. We have a handful of people contributing towards their meals.

We will also have a monthly lucky draw for all people that are donating funds. To qualify for the draw, please forward the proof of payment to carineb@mweb.co.za. The draw will take place on the last day of the month.
