Scale modellers group

Hi, One of my interests/hobbies in scale plastic modelling but hey you can't do it alone. Well yes you can but that gets boring. So I'd like to start a modellers group, casual get-to-gather's to exchange ideas, techniques, help each other along.
I've been making plastic models, OK yes Airfix kits, since I was around nine years old, so that's about fifty years and yes it still brings me a fair amount of pleasure.

I do however belong to a wider modelling community, namely the International Plastic Modellers Society, which exists to bring modellers together, there are ten branches of the society in South Africa and each is autonomous but under one umbrella. The closes branch to Sedgefield is in Cape Town although there are a few guys in George who meet each Wednesday evening for a modelling session.

I had an insert in the Edge a couple of weeks ago (you may have seen my 'Paris Bus' model) and a few guy's have replied to this in request to my asking if anyone was interested but as yet we haven't formally got together.
Ken at Dolphin Stationers stocks both Airfix and Acadamy kits, so there has to be a few guys out there who are buying kits or Ken wouldn't be stocking them.

So come out of the woodwork/model room and drop me a line and lets get something going.

PS, My main areas of interest are helicopters and racing bikes, with a bit of Fleet Air Arm history thrown in.
