Dear Boerie Bashers

This month, the Boerie Bash will be hosted at Lake Pleasant Living. To local business people and other interested locals, you are invited.

Our networking evening will be based around awareness for the NSRI’s nomination as semi-finalists in the Centrum Guardian 2012 Competition (for more information see attachment). Screening of the professionally filmed DVD narrated by Ruda Landman and depicting the sequence of events and the re-enactment of the rescue will take place. This is a moving and incredible story - what it means to a volunteer to save the life of a child, and the story of a brave young boy who chose to once again put his life back in the hands of the crew of Station 23 and head into the rip currents off Swartvlei Beach, the sea which so nearly claimed his life a mere 7 months before.
